In the heart of Washington, D.C., The Healthy Choice stands as a testament to transformative power resilience and compassion. Its founder, Kevin L. Jones, knows firsthand challenges life can present, having been in foster care system. Yet, he refused let adversity define him. As a young boy, Kevin understood the importance of trust and connection. The community quickly recognized his integrity, offering him odd jobs and opportunities to contribute. It was through these experiences that he discovered his passion for helping others. Guided by an unwavering sense of purpose, Kevin joined local sports teams and eventually became an undefeated and unscored-upon football coach. These experiences solidified his belief that he was meant to be a servant of God, dedicating his life to making a positive impact.

Kevin’s unwavering commitment to service led him to pursue his education and become a licensed Professional Counselor. In 2024, he founded The Healthy Choice with a singular mission: to enhance the mental health and well-being of families in the Washington, D.C. area. With over 25 years of counseling experience, Kevin has emerged as a trusted source of support and guidance within the community.

At THC, Kevin’s vision is realized by a team of committed professionals. THC emphasizes addressing the social factors influencing mental health by providing comprehensive services tailored to empower individuals and communities. We offer clinical care, mentorship, financial literacy, education, case management, community support, and tutorial programs. Through these services, we aim to reduce stigma, overcome barriers, and foster resilience in our communities, promoting holistic well-being and self-sufficiency.
